About Manchester Athletic Association

Manchester Athletic Association is a private, not for profit 501(c)(3) organization that was founded in 1887 and was later incorporated in 1935.  The principle goal of the organization is to provide area children with an opportunity to participate in team sports and develop both athletic and social skills that they will be able to use throughout their lives.  We believe that participation in team sports encourages and promotes the athletic interest of our members while educating them in the importance of team work and good sportsmanship.

The Association is composed of an Executive Committee and a Board of Directors that govern the organization. The people who comprise this board are parents, managers & members of the community who volunteer their time to participate in the Association.  The Association is not affiliated with the City of Manchester or any other public or government entity and does not receive any funding from them.  The association has continued to flourish in West St. Louis County for more than a century thanks to the sacrifices and generosity of generations of area residents.

The Association provides both Boy’s Youth Baseball and Girl’s Youth Softball for children 5 to 18 years of age. Programs run during the spring and summer months of April through July with a fall program that runs from August through October. In addition, tournaments & clinics are offered at selected times during the sports season.  The Association directly supports over 100 teams with over 1,500 participants.
